Euphorbia stellata is found in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province, thriving in rocky, semi-arid land. This rare succulent has adapted to harsh environments, making it a worthy addition to any collection seeking something out of the ordinary. Our selection includes 2-year-old small seedlings and 5-year-old larger specimens.
This plant enjoys full sun to light shade and can handle intense sunlight. It's best to water only when the soil is completely dry, as it's highly drought-resistant. During winter, almost no watering is needed. Keep it in a gritty, well-draining mix to prevent root rot. Euphorbia stellata can tolerate brief cold snaps down to -6°C (20°F) when dry, but regular temperatures should stay above 10°C (50°F).
The turnip-shaped caudex is a standout feature, with its slender branches that fan out like a star or medusa. Come spring and summer, mature plants reveal small greenish-yellow flowers. This plant’s geometry makes it a living piece of art. Despite the lack of significant cultural history, its patience-demanding growth and unique appearance are sure to spark conversation.
We offer free tracked worldwide shipping for all orders above $100. Just choose "Free Shipping"Â as the shipping form during checkout.
It is possible to order a phytosanitary certificate for your order. The cost is $20 per order, regardless of the quantity of the plants. You can choose to include one in the checkout when choosing the shipping method.
Issuing the certificate may delay the shipping by up to 2 weeks. We will inform you about the shipping via e-mail.
Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
