Boswellia socotrana is a rare gem originating from Socotra Island, Yemen. This succulent is found nowhere else on Earth, contributing to its coveted status among collectors. Its natural habitat is quite isolated, adding to the mystique surrounding this unique plant.
Boswellia socotrana thrives in bright, direct sunlight, making it a perfect candidate for sunny windowsills. It prefers a warm environment, keeping temperatures above 10° C (50° F) to ensure healthy growth. Watering should be sparse yet consistent—watering weekly during its growing season and letting the soil dry out fully before the next drink. In the winter, scale back to monthly watering. Don’t panic if the leaves drop during prolonged dormancy because they regenerate when spring arrives.
Not just any plant, Boswellia socotrana stands out with its sculptural form and fleshy, serrated leaves. Its bark has an intriguing scaly tone, and with age, it can develop a caudex-like base. Often likened to a bonsai thanks to its compact shape, this plant is a standout in greenhouse collections and admired for its desert resilience.
We offer free tracked worldwide shipping for all orders above $100. Just choose "Free Shipping" as the shipping form during checkout.

Issuing the certificate may delay the shipping by up to 2 weeks. We will inform you about the shipping via e-mail.
Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
