Bursera cuneata is native to the dry, rugged terrains of Mexico, particularly seen in the transitional oak-tropical deciduous forests from Jalisco to Oaxaca. This resilient shrub or small tree is known locally as "copal or copalillo," sharing cultural value with other Bursera species known for their resin and wood.
Bursera cuneata thrives in hot, dry climates with minimal care. It loves full sun and gritty soil; therefore, keeping your plant in an environment that mimics these conditions is essential. Be sure to water sparingly. This plant exhibits high drought tolerance, so it doesn't need frequent watering. In winter, reduce watering to once a month and keep the temperature above 10° C (50° F).
Adding to its appeal, Bursera cuneata features unique wedge-shaped leaves with serrated edges and can grow up to 10 meters tall. It has an attractive gray-reddish bark and the plant produces delicate white flowers arranged in inflorescences. Although not explicitly rare, its understated profile and distinct look make it a charming and robust addition to any succulent collection, especially for enthusiasts who appreciate less commonly known plants.
We offer free tracked worldwide shipping for all orders above $100. Just choose "Free Shipping" as the shipping form during checkout.
It is possible to order a phytosanitary certificate for your order. The cost is $20 per order, regardless of the quantity of the plants. You can choose to include one in the checkout when choosing the shipping method.
Issuing the certificate may delay the shipping by up to 2 weeks. We will inform you about the shipping via e-mail.
Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
