Commiphora multijuga is native to the rugged landscapes of northwest Namibia. This unique succulent tree has adapted to endure one of the harshest deserts in Africa. Its limited habitat and minimal commercial propagation add to its mystique and rarity. The plants we offer are 2 years old seedlings, ready to be part of an exclusive collection.
This succulent requires full sun and excellent drainage to thrive. It’s best to water it thoroughly once a week during its active growth phase. In colder months, the plant needs minimal water – think near-drought conditions. Keep the temperature above 10°C (50°F) to avoid shocking the plant. Careful to not overwater, as this can lead to root rot, a common pitfall for beginners.
Commiphora multijuga is more than just a plant; it's a piece of desert art. With its exfoliating bark and thorned branches, it adds a structural elegance to any dry garden or bonsai display. Its thickened trunk stores water, showcasing its ingenious survival strategy. Although it lacks prominent historical ties, its genus is known for producing resins used in medicines and fragrances. Mature specimens are rare to find, underscoring its special allure for plant enthusiasts.
We offer free tracked worldwide shipping for all orders above $100. Just choose "Free Shipping" as the shipping form during checkout.
It is possible to order a phytosanitary certificate for your order. The cost is $20 per order, regardless of the quantity of the plants. You can choose to include one in the checkout when choosing the shipping method.
Issuing the certificate may delay the shipping by up to 2 weeks. We will inform you about the shipping via e-mail.
Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
Not satisfied with the plants your received? No worries! Send them back to us and we will refund you the cost of the plants and the cost of the return shipping! Or we can send you new plants, it's up to you.
