Origin of Oeceoclades calcarata
Oeceoclades calcarata comes straight out of Madagascar, offering a slice of the tropics right in your home. Despite its exotic origins, it's known for being adaptable to cultivated environments. The plants we're selling are about 3 years old, having been carefully separated from an imported mother plant.
Quick Care Tips
This orchid does well in full sun with indirect light, needing over 6 hours of light a day. Keep humidity at a moderate level, around 40-70%. Use a humidifier or mist it occasionally. Water thoroughly once a week during its growth phase and let the soil dry out before the next watering. In winter, when it’s resting, water just once a month and keep the temperature above 13° C (55° F).

Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
