Aloe asperifolia, native to western Namibia's Namib Desert, is a unique succulent thriving between the Kuiseb and Hoarusib Rivers. This 'rough-leaved' aloe has adapted to arid environments with limestone-rich soils. Its limited range and specialized habitat needs make it a rare find for collectors.
Give your Aloe asperifolia plenty of full sun to mimic its natural desert habitat. Water sparingly and always let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Use a well-draining, sandy-gritty soil mix to prevent root rot. It is frost-sensitive, so keep it protected from cold, ensuring that temperatures donât drop below 10° C (50° F).
Aloe asperifolia features sandpaper-like leaves arranged in circular rosettes with striking spiny edges. Its color changes from green to red-brown with light conditions, and it can produce eye-catching orange flower spikes when mature. This aloeâs slow growth and ability to form clonal rosettes make it a rare gem, perfect for drought-resistant gardens and collectors seeking unusual plants.
We offer free tracked worldwide shipping for all orders above $100. Just choose "Free Shipping"Â as the shipping form during checkout.
It is possible to order a phytosanitary certificate for your order. The cost is $20 per order, regardless of the quantity of the plants. You can choose to include one in the checkout when choosing the shipping method.
Issuing the certificate may delay the shipping by up to 2 weeks. We will inform you about the shipping via e-mail.
Please note all plants are shipped with neither the pot nor the soil to prevent any damage to the plants and to comply with worldwide import regulations regarding soil. We sometimes cut the leaves as well to ensure a safer transit for the plant.
Not satisfied with the plants your received? No worries! Send them back to us and we will refund you the cost of the plants and the cost of the return shipping! Or we can send you new plants, it's up to you.
